A Tip for Better Sleep
How breathing can calm the mind and prepare you for a restful sleep
As you’re preparing to sleep, breathe in for 4, hold for 7, exhale for the count of 8. Repeat this 4 times. This simple trick, relaxes the body by putting you in the rest and digest mode getting you ready for sleep. During periods of stress remember to keep your exhales longer than your inhales and you will feel calmer. Box breathing, or breathing in for 4, holding for 4, exhaling for 4, holding for 4 and repeating is another great technique and useful for meditation. You are always just a few deep breaths from inner tranquility and well-being.
